Year-end medication pick-up notice!

By Nurse Allen

Dear Parents:
If your child has medication at school it must  be picked up by June 2, 2016,  the last day of school. Your child will not be able to transport any medication on the bus, but you are welcome to pick up medication in my office any time before the last day of school.  Any medication/spacers not picked up from school will be discarded.

Here at Varnett, medication is usually transported from home to school and back by adults. This is to prevent any misuse of medication with children.

It is important to note that a new medication/allergy form must be completed for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. All prescription medications must be submitted in the original prescription bottle/package and clearly labeled.

No over-the-counter medication is ever administered. All medical forms and medication must be submitted to the nurse. All medical questions and concerns must be communicated with the nurse at all times.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 713-723-4699, or stop by the Nurse’s Office.

Thank you very much and have a great summer!

Ms. Allen is Varnett district's school nurse who works at Southwest Campus
