A Southwest PreK class of 21 students was treated to a pizza party after donating the most canned goods in a food drive last month.
Mrs. Hines' class delivered 289 out of more than 800 canned goods and dry food products donated by Southwest PreK children. Mrs. Hines has 21 students.
The drive was part of a community service project by Southwest first-graders, but all students were invited to contributed. The goods were delivered to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, which has a membership of about 1,500 families. (See related story).
We are proud of our students as a whole and we would like to thank our parents for their continued support of The Varnett Public Schools and our community service projects.
