Houston residents have been advised to boil their water as a precaution until further notice because of a water main break on Thursday, February 27. As a result, The Varnett Public School is asking parents to send their children to school with one or two bottles of water on Friday, February 28. We will update you when the advisory is lifted.
All water at Varnett is functioning and we will follow the advisory and boil water for food preparation.
HISD is closed today because it had 100 schools that were affected by the water main break; Varnett has none.
