The Spooky Wheels On The Bus

Dr. Brandie Buford took time out of her role as District Director of Assessment and Accountability to read The Spooky Wheels on the Bus  at the Early Childhood Center on October 28, 2021.

Donning a black cape and a fall leaves skirt, Dr. Buford conducted an interactive learning experience and song with each class. She also provided treats.

The book is a humorous Halloween-themed version of the classic song The Wheels on the Bus, with a few ghoulish tricks and treats up its sleeves. The activity coincided with Trunk or Treat Character Book Day, in which costumed students on the Southwest campus collected treats from the trunk of vehicles lined in a row.

"The students were excited to have Dr. Buford come and visit with them," said Mrs. Cheyne Brown, the campus director. "The students who attended Pre-K the previous year, look forward to Dr. Buford's annual visit during their kindergarten year."

Thank you, Dr. Buford, for teaching and entertaining our students!
