A parent meeting to review the Parent Handbook and discuss other issues will be held Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 5:30 p.m. for parents of PreK and kindergarten students and 6:30 p.m. for parents of 1st through 5th grade students. The meetings will be held in the Southwest Campus cafeteria. Varnett District Superintendent/Campus Director M. Annette Cluff will preside over the meeting and be available to answer questions. Among the topics in the handbook are policies on Title I Parent Involvement, campus visitors, homework and makeup work, attendance, school bus transportation, field trips, birthday celebrations and anti-bullying.
