Action-packed Monday: Dr. Seuss' birthday and "Read Across America Day"

On Monday, March 2, students at the Pre-K Southwest location celebrated Dr. Seuss’ 111th birthday.

It also was the national “Read Across America Day.”  Students wore red & white striped hats and received Dr. Seuss pencils in observance of the day, which was full of Dr. Seuss activities.  Students also watched the movie "The Lorax."

Although Dr. Seuss did not have children of his own, he devoted most of his life to writing children's books.
